Action Learning Sets

What's all this about then?

  • Who

This programme is for Youth Work delivery staff and volunteers (or similar roles) who work on delivering youth work programmes and services in Islington.

  • When

Session can be as short as 30mins to a whole day. Dates and times for each set are below.

  • Where

Sessions will typically take place on Zoom or MS Teams. But there's nothing to stop the 'set' happening in person.

An action learning set is a group of people within a workplace that meet with the specific intention of solving workplace problems. The main aim of action learning is to come away with a set of realistic actions that will help to solve or understand the issues at hand. The most important aspects of action learning are the principles that learning should be open, reflective, practical and shared.
